Lovely diminutive (9.5 inches tall) antique English Ashford marble obelisk with geometric inlay on the face of the obelisk and a floral inlay on the plinth. Ashford marble obelisks were favored by Queen Victoria and examples can be seen at Chatsworth, the seat of the Dukes of Devonshire. 19th century.
9.5 inches tall. 3 inch square base.
Chips to tip of obelisk; chip on each of two bottom pedestal levels; very minor chipping to two inlay pieces; mild discoloration around some inlay pieces consistent with age. See photos. More photos available on request.
